Kristina’s Gift of Hope website exists to raise childhood cancer awareness and funds for CureSearch, St. Baldrick’s, and Edmarc Hospice for Children. This site was started by Tom and Joanne Kral whose 7 year old daughter, Kristina, died from a rare and aggressive form of cancer on Thanksgiving Day in 2006.
CureSearch unites the world’s largest childhood cancer research organization, the Children’s Oncology Group, and the National Childhood Cancer Foundation through their mission to cure childhood cancer.
St. Baldrick’s is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
Edmarc Hospice for Children eases the trauma of a child’s illness or death, and to reduce the disabling effects of pediatric illness, loss, and bereavement on families.

On 31 January 2009, the IRS approved our foundation as a 501(c)(3) public charity. The foundation was started by Tom and Joanne Kral of Chesapeake, Virginia as a way to honor Kristina Marie Kral, our 7 year old daughter who died of a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer, and to help other children diagnosed with cancer. We rely on individual donations, company and corporate sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives to fund our mission.
